We recently completed a high-spec office fit-out at 60 The Strand, London, for our long-standing client, eOffice. The project involved transforming two floors into modern, functional, and acoustically optimised workspaces.
Project Overview
The brief focused on creating high-performance office environments with strong acoustic control, clean aesthetics, and practical layouts. A key requirement was ensuring both glass partitions and drywall systems delivered enhanced sound insulation.
To achieve this, we:
- Removed sections of the suspended ceiling
- Built drywall partitions full height to the slab
- Installed acoustic-rated glazing systems
- Carefully sealed all junctions to maximise sound performance
Acoustic Partitioning & Build Approach
To meet the acoustic requirements, we installed:
- 12.8mm acoustic laminated glass for improved sound insulation
- Full-height drywall partitions extending to the structural slab
- Precision silicone sealing to all trackwork for airtight acoustic performance
This approach significantly reduces sound transfer between spaces, creating quieter and more productive working environments.
Overcoming Site Challenges
As with many central London projects, we encountered floor level inconsistencies, particularly around the kitchen areas.
Our team:
- Resolved uneven flooring transitions
- Installed Antico flooring to tea points
- Ensured a seamless and high-quality finish throughout
First Floor Fit-Out – Dual Office Spaces
The 1st floor was reconfigured into two separate office suites, including:
- Glass partitioning in RAL 9006 (grey finish)
- Dedicated tea points
- Antico flooring installations
- Full decoration works
- Acoustic wall panels
This layout provides flexibility while maintaining acoustic separation between tenants.
Third Floor Fit-Out – Open Plan Workspace
The 3rd floor was designed as a single large office space, featuring:
- A large communal tea point with integrated seating bench
- Glass partitioning with black track & ironmongery (RAL 9005)
- Antico flooring to kitchen areas
- Acoustic panels for sound control
- Complete decoration package
The result is a modern, collaborative workspace with strong visual contrast and practical functionality.
Design Support & Client Collaboration
Beyond the build, we worked closely with eOffice to:
- Provide design ideas and layout variations
- Enhance usability of the space
- Improve overall look and feel
