We recently completed a refurbishment project for Ab Salute Gym in St Albans, helping to modernise the facility and maximise its usable space.
Ceiling Refurbishment
The project began with the removal of the existing white suspended ceiling, which had become dated and no longer suited the gym’s aesthetic.
We carefully stripped out the old ceiling system and installed a new black suspended ceiling throughout the area. The darker finish has transformed the space, creating a more contemporary and professional gym environment while complementing the lighting and equipment below.
Mezzanine Floor Installation
In addition to the ceiling refurbishment, we installed a second-hand mezzanine floor to provide valuable additional floor space.
The mezzanine was carefully adapted and fitted to suit the building’s layout, offering the client a cost-effective solution for expanding their training area without the need for a major extension.
Fire-Rating Works
To ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, we also carried out fire-rating works to the underside of the mezzanine floor, providing the required level of fire protection and helping the facility meet current building standards.
Results
The completed project delivered a significant improvement to both the appearance and functionality of the gym, creating a modern training environment while increasing the available usable space for members.
